You were lucky you only lost 15%. zg
Next time you are tempted to jump to 300 and the BR doesn't warrant it,
use 3hands of 100 instead, which is the RoR equivalent to 1x $160 (approx). zg

Many thanks ZG.

Question.....

Am I better off from now on just betting tiny for practice?? With a bankroll of 11k what would be a good bet spread and unit size???

My games are

H17 resplitting allowed, dd on any 2 cards 6 deck 85%+ penetration, Lucky Ladies side bet
SP21 H17 90% pen

The point of me going out is to practice my cover and counting whilst chatting.. not really to win. I just got carried away with getting lucky on LL. How about a strategy that was say $5-$25 on normal BJ with the same on LL??

The joy

of a 6 deck shoe, and no LS:eek: And H17:rolleyes:

You are surprised:rolleyes:

If you must play a 6decker find better rules, that one sucks.

You are not applying AP principles.

Rethink.

and no i was not sweating my trip bankroll (other than mentally adjusting to magnitude and quickness of the losses which wore off after some thought), as i and others have posted that for any serious trip (longer than 1-2 days), i will take upwards of 50% of my bank and have it available for play. some others suggest even more than that.
I just meant, but I wasn't very clear, that had those 150 unit hourly swings occured back-to-back that losing 60% of a trip roll that quickly could test the faith of anyone lol. You did say it was a long trip so I already knew/assumed you had 50% or so of total roll becasue that's what would make sense.

You know I never worry about a darn thing you do.

Some people say I lost 150 units in an hour or whatever and no worries or second thoughts at all. You say it and, before I can say to myself, that sounds pretty unlikely - I might have to think about that a little, you say 3+ SD event, evaluate your play and jump back in.

That's it. That's pretty much everything in a nutshell. It's the whole ball of wax. It means you know your EV, your ROR, trip and otherwise, how you will be betting, how much to take on trips, how long you played and what happened and what to expect. Not with mathematical exactitude but a reasonable guess based on what to expect. That's all.

So, mich, and any others that are learning and can count a deck in 4.4 seconds using 3 different counting systems, know all the indexes and perfect BS, if you can't do that, you ain't there. If you can, you are. Simple.

Just my opinion - don't mean it's right lol.

I think, of all your plans, that's the one most likely to achieve EV lol.

I'm just saying learn what to expect from how you bet. It's your $11K.

You may actually want to consider becoming a weekend warrior for a while for the heck of it. Costs you nothing but may give you a general idea of what to expect from how you bet while counting.

I'm pretty sure you can count, while chatting or not, but you don't know how to figure out how to bet your money and what to expect from betting it one way or another.
