at brantford casino the maximum bet at all of their tables is $100, so i would have to spread 5-200 for the 1-20. that sounds kind of risky, betting $5 then jumping up to $100. what do you guys think?

i also have a question about KO. it seems to me that you are missing some oppertunities to raise your bet in between the irc (-28) and the key count (-6)(i hope you guys understand what im trying to say). would it be possible for a shoe to not even reach the key count?

You could get your 1-20 spread by spreading 1 hand at 5 dollars to 2 hands of 100.

And yes it is possible for the count not to reach the key count. The KO book tells you when you should give up on the shoe, or when you would "exit wong".

First of all the 1-20 spread would be 2x$50 (not 100). Second, if you are wonging and your BR is small then $5 to 2x $20 is sufficient. If your BR is bigger then $10 to 2x $40-50. zg

I once started a whole thread on this. The short answer is, don't worry about it.

Here's the killer comment from zg: "they get to +EV at the same speed - just compare HiLo TCs to KO pivots and KC. Its the same. zg"

If you have a scenario of say, 4 decks played and you're at -6, and you work out that same scenario using HiLo, the TC will be approximately +1.
