Scoring decent rental car in Vegas

I wonder about that, too, and wonder if it's even legal. How about charging the rental company for income lost for the time waiting in line to rent the car? :grin:

Yeah no ****. If you're 10 minutes late returning you get charged but after you rent it, it sometimes takes 30 minutes to drive out after you've gone down to the garage.

All the times I've rented on travelocity, I've paid at the rental place not up front. For hotels and flights you pay up front but I don't think for cars.

Your rental starts when you drive out the gate, not when you arrive at the counter. While your paperwork may say otherwise,it's the time you get your paperwork stamped at the exit that starts the 24 hour clock.
