100% penetration shoe!

Just a few days back I was at this table with a know it all type dealer and a high roller that followed all of this dealers advice on things like, how many hands to play, how much to bet and when to hit or stay. A couple of things were obvious to me quickly: The dealer did not count and had his own personal strategy. Basically it is a gimmick. If the high rolling fool happens to win, he tokes the dealer big and will come backi, if he loses then the dealer just moves on to find his next fish.
Thing is, this guy deals fast and I like that.
So he is so busy explaining things to his sucker that he burns a card without ever having placed the cut card in the stack. Both red cards are at the end of the shoe and we start playing.
Unfortunately, after the first several rounds the count has tanked so deeply that the chance of every getting a fairly positive shoe, even with 100% (or nearly) penetration, is so slight that I wong out. Of course some advantage might be gained if he does not realize his mistake till right at the end just by knowing how many little/big cards are left, but with a big early minus, I passed on playing.
Might have been fun.

Dealer error can be a blast. I had one dealer who would flash the very edge of the whole card when she pulled it out of the shoe (seen from first base). I could barely tell when it was paint every once in awhile.

I took a lot of insurance bets that day, and was yelled at after hitting on an 18, but I knew the dealer had a 20.

Haven't ever seen her at that casino again. I hope my crazy play wasn't what gave her away and got her fired.

You should eat those losses on 18 when you know the dealer has you beat. You're risking the existence of the game to save one bet.

I'd agree with Ken on this one. As much as you know that you're going to lose with an 18 against a 20, how many ploppies do this? This answer is almost none!
When you hit an 18 (even a soft 18), you show that you either know more about the game than you should or you know more about the dealer's hole card than you should. Either is a dead give-away.

I have a question about this game I found at one of the local indian casinos.
I wanted to know if this game was beatable and what the benefits/cons would be? I am new to this so I may use the wrong terms, sorry.

Game Rules:
Single Deck
All player cards face up

double at any time, 3 cards, 4 cards, etc

surrender at any time 3 cards, 4 cards, etc even after double

You can split late, EX: you have 8,3 double and get another 3. You can split the second 3 off and get a different double card and then start fresh with the new 3.

Blackjack pays 1:1 for regular and 3:2 for suited.

Thanks in advance...
Pfred I have played this game. The casino is alittle hole in the wall in hopland ca. I remember the PEN was only 50 to 60 percent. They kept getting on my case for DD on unsuited BJ. game was a dump left after an hour.
