I honestly don't know how casinos can open safely. I know Nevada is getting ready to open, but Casinos, along with sporting events, concerts are about the very last thing that should be open.

I haven't decided what I will do when casinos open. Part of me thinks conditions will be pretty good for a player like me. 2 or 3 players at a table. I never play with more than that anyway. Wearing masks. ;) And the pit critters should have some extra responsibilities to keep them busy. So I am sort of thinking once I test positive for antibodies, it could be a good opportunity for me. BUT they don't even really know that having had the virus offer immunity. It does for most viruses, but they really don't know for sure about this one yet. I will have to give it some thought as the situation gets closer.

I am also not crazy about the idea that even if I have some immunity, meaning I wont get sick if/when I come in contact with the virus again, If exposed again, I could still carry it to other people and I don't want to be responsible for that.

Are you paying income taxes? The basis for your stimulus check is your income taxes. If I remember correctly you said you made about $62,000. With that amount of income you should qualify for the full amount of the stimulus check of $1,200. If you aren't paying taxes then I have no sympathy for you.

I am not sure paying taxes matter for the stimulus check does it? It was my understanding that the criteria was that you have a social security number, made less than 75k (100k for reduced amount) and couldn't be claimed as a dependent on someone else's (like parents) taxes. I don't believe you have or show proof of any income. Not the way I would have done it....but no one asked me.

Now if you are a non-filer, you do have to go to the IRS website, click the non-filer button and fill out some info so they know who and where you are.

Remember the direct payments started from Mitt Romney's idea of sending $1000 to every U.S. citizen.

Yes, I believe you are correct. They are just using the 2019 or 2018 taxes as the first choice of information. If anyone didn't get a refund or didn't have to pay taxes or are non-filers I suggest they go to the IRS "Get My Payment" web site and sign up.

I got my free money. My regular job is for an airline, so I've been off most of April, during which I took some paid vacation, and so far in May.

Once you've gotten to the website, scroll down past the "get my payment" button, that is only for people who have filed taxes in 2018 or 2019, you can find out when your check is coming or If you need to give direct deposit info. If you haven't filed there's another button further down saying non- filers: enter payment info here, I had to do it for a friend and it's pretty easy, just fill in basic information and verify your email.
