Some good advice needed

The name of this thread

This thread is "some good advice needed". You got that good advice!

I wish to add one thing here as far as the dealer flashing the hole card.
I hole card as often as I can and keep a list of weak dealers to help me get these opportunities. I have never worked with a dealer but I have this logical fear and because of it, I do not toke weak dealers nor will I play them long and I will not follow them from table to table if they are switching tables.

My personal rules are based upon what I would be looking for if I was the casino and figured out that there was a player reading the dealers hole card.
I would know I need to train that dealer better and toss that player but more important to me than either of these two things is finding out if I have a dishonest or just weak dealer. So I go into these situations knowing that if I am made there is a pretty good chance that someone in the casino will think that the dealer and I are working together and arrest is possible.
In your case, you are cheating with the dealer and not only you but all of your teammates know this. The same kind of surrviellance that (lucky for me) has convinced the casinos that made me that either I was not working with the dealer or they could not come close to proving that I was, will be more likely to prove that you are and might even identify all of your teammates.

Anyway, you got your good advice in this thread. Use it or ignore it at your own risk. If you ignore it and land up in jail, you will deserve it.

I don't think the holecarding thing is a good idea. At all. It's illegal, and I don't endorse it in any way.

BUT... if you're gonna do it, have plausible deniability. Count cards, move your bets with the count, etc. Have your dealer learn to peek. Bubble peek when picking up someone's busted hand, use the chip tray as a shiner, something that can't be seen by the eye..

But have him peek like a pro, not just peel back the index like an amateur. And only do it once every ten hands or so. Like, maybe when you have a big bet out.

If you get busted doing this, you can lie and say you were counting. You were counting, the tape will show you were counting. Act like your hole-card play was an index.

Another option which is completely deniable is cut card play. Have your friend flash the bottom card when he offers you a cut (he will, of course pass you the cut card every hand as well). Cut low cards out of play, and steer tens and aces.

Also, when he pulls the bottom cut card out after you have cut, he can flash a second card.

If you get caught, the dealer says he had no idea the players could see the bottom card (or the card below the second cut card). He looks like a stupid, sloppy dealer, and you look like asshole, shot-taking no good scoundrel who is gonna get 86'd and put in Griffin. But you don't look like a criminal.

If I were going to collude with a dealer, it would be deep pen and cut card tricks. Wouldn't try any hole card plays.

I haven't fled.

I will work with some basic strategies but nothing that will get me in trouble or loose the dealer his job. If at the very worst i will just let him go and give him the reasons why.

We have our first team meeting today and the actions will be discussed. Thanks everyone who helped me out and steered me down the right path.

Why not just have him count cards and signal you in? Have him work as a spotter. Legal and totally undetectable if you do it right.
