kewljason said:...The only thing that looks troubling is that mention and description of possible double shoe. By the description looks like there would be 2 dealing shoes on the table with 2 seperate discard racks to keep the cards seperated, but that one round could be dealt from one shoe and the next round dealt from the second shoe. ... You would need to keep track of two seperate counts simultaneously. ...
The real problem is that the count could be high in one shoe and low in the other and then you'd be alternating between big and small bets many times which would be pretty obvious.21forme said:I've backcounted adjacent tables plenty of times. Even counted one I was playing and an adjacent table when they're close enough and the view was not obstructed. Just takes a little practice, and you may want to drop your ace sidecount in that circumstance.
Not quite correct. The regulations state: "insert the cutting card in the stack at a position at least approximately one-quarter of the way in from the bottom of the stack".Mewtwo said:If you look in the table games document (the same one that mandates S17 and LS for all blackjack tables) it says that the cut is to be approximately 1/4 of the decks, so I'm going to assume you'll see 75% +/- a few percent one way or the other.
Just a little update. I went to The Meadows again yesterday evening. And once again I won. Since Thursday opening, I won every day here. And this is the first time I had some heat. I don't know if it was towards me because all my tablemates were winning, including the idiot stays at soft 17 and never splits or doubles. The casino bump the table minimal from $10 to $25 and it took effect in 15 minutes. The table was full with 6 people. All six left to play in other $10 tables once the minimal was rasied. I was sitting in nearby table and noticed that it took about 20 minutes for new people to play at this $25 table.BJgenius007 said:Almost all dealers are new. Most of them have difficulty to pick up 8 decks at the same time to put it into the box. So they cut the deck as deep as possible to avoid embarrassing themselves. Last night I saw one dealer played 7+ deck until less than one deck left (90% penetration?). At that table, everybody left with at least two thousand dollars richer. It is $15 table.
Take advantage of that situation by yelling "surrender" when she shows an Ace. If they no nothing about surrender, then they obviously don't know the difference between ES and LS. If they do ask you, just tell them that all the players have 3 seconds to call for surrender with an Ace up; otherwise, it's late surrender. :grin:BJgenius007 said:However, the pit boss has no idea how surrender works. So you have to yell to the dealer "surrender" right away after he dealt all the cards.
Last night I visited Wheeling Island again. They have figured out how surrender works. So it is now no different from any other casino.bj bob said:Take advantage of that situation by yelling "surrender" when she shows an Ace.
