I will confirm what you say to be true “Standing on 7,7 v 10 is the correct decision in a 1D H17 NDAS game”. I will let you know if what you are claiming is fact.
Its not the sort of BASIC STRATEGY play that typically needs to be looked up. z:confused:g

Ps - Where is David Pom when we need him?

1. Extremely few straight counters are in Griffin.
2. Griffin is not used by anything like the majority of casinos in the world, mush less the “entire gaming industry.” I would suspect fewer since they filed Chapter 11.
3. I haven’t seen the book in a few years. But I didn’t see “thousands” of mug shots. The number was far fewer and these are not “mug shots.”
4. Casino “heat” actions like flat-betting, no-BJ, preferential-shuffling, reduced penetration, trespassing, canceling comps and even back-rooming and evictions rarely result in entry to the Griffin book.
5. Most people in Griffin have NOT made fortunes.

But most importantly, if you bet significant amounts you will experience heat. That doesn’t mean that you can’t minimize barrings. But you must be aware of heat. I think most everyone knows this.

Or, for answers by dealer upcard use the free calculator at http://www.qfit.com/CVDPC.htm
I input a composition of 0 each (ace,2,3,4,5), 4 each (6,7,8,9), and 0 (tens).

The correct dealer probabilities for this comp are:
Code:
Up card = (ace,2,3,4,5, or 10) not possible

Up card 17 18 19 20 21 BJ Bust
6 00.00% 02.86% 04.43% 17.14% 26.67% 00.00% 41.90%
7 00.00% 00.00% 05.71% 11.43% 18.10% 00.00% 64.76%
8 26.67% 00.00% 00.00% 05.71% 15.24% 00.00% 52.38%
9 26.67% 20.00% 00.00% 00.00% 05.71% 00.00% 47.62%
Overall 13.33% 05.71% 04.29% 08.57% 16.43% 00.00% 51.67%
You get these values but it is only possible to have an up card of 6,7,8, or 9 from this shoe comp and you have some negative values under up cards of ace and 10.

Just for reference the optimal player EV (1 split is allowed) for this comp:
Code:
Overall EV using best strategy = +20.52%
EV using best strategy versus 6 = -13.02%
EV using best strategy versus 7 = +37.11%
EV using best strategy versus 8 = +25.10%
EV using best strategy versus 9 = +32.88%

When it comes to Blackjack, MCB Duplin Enterprises has been studying the game for our entire lives. There is truly nothing about the game we cannot find out through the Playing 21 Program. Our story is a fascinating one, as fascinating as the game Blackjack itself.

So if I can help anyone in becoming a better Blackjack player, I’d love to help.
I had to reread that part again. Call for David Pom! zg

We're just trying to protect the economy. If it got out that raising your bet at higher counts could beat every casino in the world, and there is no heat, millions of people would have lost their jobs.

I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work here with the forums and within your site. Being a Blackjack professional and gaming expert it is great to have these forums where players may interact with one another and become better players. I enjoy reading what people have to say about and towards the game Blackjack.

I wish you continued success in growing the game Blackjack. If anyone has any questions about the game, feel free to ask away. I’d love to try and spread my knowledge of the game Blackjack with others and help out in any way I can, making players the best they can be.

Best of luck at the tables everyone,
Scott, are you coming back? There are more questions! zg

Dude you know how many software millionaires are from Seattle? They are for the most part Vapor-ware shillers that made their money off of stashing investment dollars in Hedge funds and shell corps..

I have a feeling that the lowley denizens of BJINFO will not get a second chance with this true renaissance man! zg
"Do not cast thy pearls before the swine!"
(Dead link: http://thelastdotcom.com/scott.html)

Scott (Oz)

Literally everything we touch and interact with is and was the result of someone’s dream. This, simply put, is Scott. He is the idea man. The dreamer. Scott's mind never stops. What he communicates is only the tip of the iceberg. Scott’s mind resides in the future. What should change. Where things should be. What would make things better. The result of this thinking process is usually a new innovation, and Scott has the amazing ability to create and communicate a mental picture for things that don’t exist yet; but should.

The man who loves writing poetry, inspirational quotations, and music, also loves invention. Every day he comes to work with a new idea. Its his very nature. He’s a natural. You can’t go to school and learn what Scott excels at. His passion for innovation is only matched by his determination to see his ideas brought to life. Ed and Jr. laugh when people try and slow Scott down. “In order to slow my brother down, you’d have to park a Mack truck on him.” smiles Ed. His passion for creative thought, and his ability to arrive at solutions with an enthusiasm which should be bottled and sold, launches the team into action.

This is the magic in his contribution to the team.Don’t tell Scott he thinks Too Big. "Its a shame to tell someone they can't achieve something," Scott says. "What if they actually believed you?"

And to go out of ones way to explain one line of BS. 77 Vs.. Wow. What about the billions of hands and so many sets of table rules Scott?

You sure you want to stand 7,7 vs a dealers 10 value card every time? What if you see the dealers hole card or maybe they were going to deal that card to the chicky sitting next to you and she decides to stand after you see the card is a seven?

Happened to me last weekend.

Dealer " Doubling hard 14" WoOt 21 wow!!!!

Shizz happens.

Card Counting (Archive copy) was pivotal for Betting (Archive copy) and Playing the Hands (Archive copy). We could then go into the Hand Breakdown vs. Dealer Up Card (Archive copy), (Archive copy) the most significant invention in the history of Blackjack, and clearly see what was fact and what was WRONG. We could go in and see, in four mouse clicks, exactly how we did at each and every single hand we could get in the game, vs. any dealer up card. We show this to you at 21 counts, plus totals for 45 different categories. It is so amazing, that there is no need to ever write another book (Archive copy) about Blackjack, unless it is about this program.
