The one thing that will make me leave a table fast.

After reading a post from a banned member that a hot dealer is worth more than the mathematics - I leave if the Dealer is not on a hot streak. If there is only one table, I usually take rest for the rest of the shift and come back afresh. If there are more tables, I try to scout for hot dealers.

I love it how a hot dealer is beating everyone every hand, and finally, just when the count turns positive, everyone says, "You can't beat this dealer. I'm going to another table!" And you're stuck there all by yourself with a plus count! :cry:

I was playing and the count tanked, I dropped to 1 hand and the guy next to me reacts to me by betting the empty pip on the other side of him. I just said nice and clear, "I am trying to change the order of the cards and you are trying to keep them the same. I hope you are right". It was kind of funny to me at the time. He definitely reacted to my betting only one pip and barely got his bet down. Eat those cards buddy I am on your team. Don't forget to drop to 1 hand when I go back to 2 pips. You got to love ploppy superstition when it helps you so much.

I saw a ploppy pull his chips back when an old man sat down to play, because the old man did not play his hands in a way that was acceptable to the ploppy. Said ploppy then proceeded to tell the old man that he should take blackjack lessons, because his shitty play was costing our ploppy money. Closest I have come to telling a player to eff off.

Been seeing a lot of ploppies berating one another lately. I guess there is not enough good flow to the cards, or something.

Spent several hours sitting down at empty tables, only to be pursued there by other players. The casino should hire me: I can fill empty tables within one shoe. From a full table I would see a couple of lonely dealers at empty tables, so I would head to one, only to be followed by some of the same ploppies who had been guarding the sacred flow at the previous table.

As I left one full table, a ploppy said "That'll hurt the flow."

when to leave a table

Bottom line...life is too short to subject yourself to unpleasant people when you can move to another table. And when you are having a great time, stay and enjoy yourself.

I seldom leave a table even if I'm losing as I generally want to get in as many hands as I can and moving around can waste time...I'll use the fact that I'm losing as an excuse to leave a table if it gets too crowded "you're not being nice to me [dealer's name] I'm going to play with Joe over there".

But sometimes when the table is crowded and the dealer is busting every hand and I'm winning, everyone else is winning, I stay for the fun of it. We're all cheering and high-5'ing, it's great! I look over at the table next to us and there's only one person playing and I think "I should move over there because that's what a card counter should do" but I'm having so much fun I don't. I stay with my crowded table.

Then there are times I leave even if I'm winning. For example, I'm playing with 3 other regulars. We're all mostly up, nothing great, but it's good. Then comes a scummy looking tattooed drunk guy who stands way to close to me. He puts $20 on the table and says "I'm gonna play with the rich folks today!". Dealer tells him "it's a $25 minimum sir". He grumbles and puts up another $10. Then he starts winning every hand (we were all winning) and starts touching me on the arm to celebrate (I'm a woman).

I'm thinking, it's not worth it for me to stay here. Then I'm dealt a double down hand and this drunk guy says "oh, you need to double down on that honey" and he reaches for my chips, knocks a few of them over as he tries to place my bet for me. OK....TIME TO LEAVE!!!! I tell him "please don't touch my chips, or I'll ask them to call security" I finish the hand and leave, and so do the other 3 players. We left this weirdo to play by himself; he lasted another 10 minutes, lost his whopping $30 buy in and left the pit.

If he touched my chips I'd grab him by the wrist and squeeze. He'd be down on his knees whimpering. If he were drunk enough he might not feel it though. The next day he would be wondering why he can't move his hand without pain. Touching someone else's chips is a big no no.
