Turtle Creek casino is located in the beautiful Traverse City area on Lake Michigan and often called the Cherry Capital because of the wondrous fruit grown in this breath-taking, touristy location.
Turtle Creek is some 28 months old in its new building which features an excellent 140 room hotel,, various bars, nightclub, and 3 restaurants and 2 gift shops. This is a very bright cheery casino with very high ceilings, windows, water falls, and light shows flashing along the ceiling.
Unlike many Native casinos this is an exceptionaly well run establishment, professional in every way.
Gaming is very interesting,,craps has a no vig buy on the 4 and 10, VP has suffered of late but you can still find a few 9/6 JOB and progressive WHA.
BJ on the main floor has limits of $5 to $200, and $10 to $200 with some 18 tables on the main floor running on weekend evenings as well as 2 in the HL room, $25 to $500, $50 to $1000 or limits upon request. Main floor has 7 spot tables and HL room has 6 spot tables. Tables are open all evening Thurs. through Sunday.
All BJ games are hand shuffle.
The main floor BJ game has an HE of .43 while the HL room BJ game has a HE of .30.
I would rate the BJ here as very playable.
The comp system is clearly spelled out in a brochure so there are no mysteries concerning dollars per point, benefits etc.
This may be the finest overall casino in Mi.
