It depends on what you're starting with. I just ran a sim adding an insurance sidecount to UBZ, which has a reasonably good IC to begin with, and it added 10% to the SCORE. If your primary count is KO or High-Low or something else without as good an IC, it will add even more. Is it worth it? Maybe. SD is such a quirky animal it will depend on conditions. In some SD joints you can't expect to find more than one playable table at a time, so two counters working together might as well employ an insurance sidecount.
