So less than 1 unit / hour. Totally within expectations.

Still shows how much variance can kill you.

I am surprised though that your base unit was $25 given your bankroll.

Are you saying that was too low or too high? We kept a very very low ROR for this trip because if we increased to the levels where our return was much higher our betting would have attracted attention even more so than it did.


And JB - I am very concerned about longevity but I know I can play rated because I have other players cards to use and this was a learning experience for me to learn ways NOT to do it. I think I learned a lot so in the future I can play much longer without getting spotted.

And the casinos I named were casinos where it didn't matter because they either didn't have good games or I was talking about general/non-game related details

In my opinion, people that maybe are playing for a living would be happy with the 1 unit of EV per hour.

If you were wanting to stay under the radar, then green chipping is not bad on the Strip. General consensus is that the pit isn't even going to want to rate you unless you are betting $25 or higher.

With respect to getting backed off: Personally if I was doing it from a learning perspective, I would have played aggressively (meaning spread and time at table) just once for the trip <-- if you really needed to have the experience.

For the rest of the time, I would have done the KJ thing and kept sessions short.

Were you the only one that was backed off, or other people on your trip also got asked not to play?

This should probably be in BJ stories. AS of today this is the first time I even checked this section of the forums, and I'm glad I did. Since I don't go, nor plan anytime soon, to go to LV, I normally don't look here.
