What i'm i doing wrong

I live i Detroit MI. i play at the MGM they have a 6 deck table shoe for $50 & $100 and they have and 8 deck table shoe for $15 & $25.I mostly play at the 6 deck table i count the cards and when i get a +5 count or more i raise my bet i have lose so much money i don't know what to do

is that +5 count a running count or true count? what system do you use? if that +5 is a true count, you should be raising your bet a lot sooner than that.

Now, do you know perfect basic strategy? Can you tell me, without thinking, when to split 9's, and when to soft double against a 4?

Secondly, do you understand the concept of true counts in hi-lo?

Thirdly, what is the minimum bet you are using, and what is the maximum, and when do you bet the maximum?

I have stop goine to the casino b/c i knew i was doing something wrong ,ok all i do is use the hi-lo count and when it get to a +5 or more i raise my bet i never used the true count just found out about the true count and as far as split i don't know

Using a running count for betting with HiLo can produce a profit. But it is very inefficient. And it seems rather pointless since you can simply start counting the seven, start at -20 and dramatically increase efficiency.

Okay, you don't know basic strategy. Counting won't do you any good if you can't play your hand correctly. Practice that with the strategy trainer here until you have it down cold. Then we'll talk more. But for pete's sake, don't play any blackjack for real money.

I'm sorry Zengrifter i am new to this i did not understand your blackjack language all i know how to do is count with the hi-lo i just found out about the true count so i need all the help you are will to give b/c i'm tired of looseing money at the casino

What Moo and His Rhinoness are saying is, for your own sake, don't even think about playing blackjack in a real casino, especially $50 min blackjack, until you have a very good understanding of the game. At this point you are commiting financial suicide. It would be like playing a major league game in the field without a glove.
You need to start from the beginning with the stategy trainer and you can find it's link on the Forums page here (top left). Once you have that down to a science then get back to us. We'll be glad to help.
