What is the HOUSE advantage

OK i just had a long debate with a friend and have come to the conclusion that Online BJ is not "rigged" it is legit, HOWEVER, the house has a much bigger advantage bc of 1 main factor. The cards always get re shuffled. Every hand.
What i want to know and determine is, what is the house advantage of the decks being re shuffled after every hand. We know what the house odds are with 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 decks in live blackjack when we see the decks being discarded (not using a CSM) i have seen the math been done (btw try not to play odd deck games hose gets a better advantage ((excluding 1 deck)) ) I wana know how much more of a edge does the house get. I have a hypothosis of the % being between 65-75% advantage over the players. (asuming basic strategy is being used 100% perfectly)

PLease i would really love feed back on this.

The house advantage does not change one iota when they shuffle every hand. The only reason that online casinos do it is to deter card counters. The only reason that B&M casinos DON'T shuffle every hand is because it takes time, and time is money.

So what your saying is the math does not change when 8 decks are being re suffled every time and when 8 decks are being slowly discarded until about 3/4 penetration? I am sure the % has to be different. Could there be a way to find out? I just do not think its still .05%

LEts think in terms of 1 deck then, if u re shuffled 1 deck after every hand what are the house's advantage, let alone if they wait until ( not sure how many hands are played in a 1 deck game) they go through half the cards. Lets say 5 hands simulated 1 million times with both methods. My hypothesis would be that the deck that is slowly decreasing would be more profitable towards the player than the deck that is re shuffled Every single hand.

Please thoghts and comments. :confused:

In actual fact, if you take into account the cut-card effect, the house edge is actually lower if they shuffle every hand; the opposite of your hypothesis.

But leaving that complication aside, it is indeed just the same, shuffle or not.

so shuffling ever hand gives the player a better advantage? Sheesh I must be on a sick downswing on Ultimate bet. Bc the dealer hits 20 and 21 about1 in 3 hands lol or i bust eather or haha. I dono I would still like to simulate the 2 and see some results. Wish i knew programming now.:laugh:

Actually ironically the mathimatical house advantage is a little bit less when they shuffle every hand if you are not a card counter. The bad news is the advantage never shifts in the players favor and it is imposible to beat long term. House advantage in blackjack ranges from .2 to 1.5% with perfect basic stragedy depending upon the rules. Average advantage perfect stragedy is .5% to .8%. Now if you play a 100 hands you will probably lose 50% to 80% of your average bet.

Sometimes people get mixed up between strategy and tragedy. :mad: But usually nobody bothers too much about spelling here, except maybe Shad. :grin: If you want to be ticked off for spelling errors and frog-marched down to his spelling bee compulsory tutorials, try a professor on another BJ site. :laugh:

I wonder how many foreign languages you are able to speak, and how many of those you write without spelling errors.

Mango I trust you know he was poking fun at a previous poster. For all who are have trouble spelling. I always found spellcheck frustrating. It would tell you that your spelling was wrong but not suggest the correct spelling. I would go through a trial and error to come up with the correct spelling. If that failed I would use a less appropriate synonym. I now do a goggle search on the word and it asks me if "this" was the what I meant giving me the correct spelling. Probably not the best solution but it works.

agree totaly . you dont have to be mean if someone write in a bad english . not everyone was born in u.s.a. and u.k. :rolleyes:

Whenever I see someone who is obviously typing with only one hand, I have to wonder what the other is doing.
