I see from the poll that the majority get ticked off when they draw an ace to a double down eleven. If I got ticked off at that I'd be upset all the time. Do you carry a bottle of Maalox to the table?

I have been known to get ticked off when I'm playing perfect basic strategy and the dealer makes a twenty or twenty-one 98% of the time, I bust on a stiff 98% of the time, I lose most of my double downs, I only get naturals when I'm betting minimum bet, I lose nearly all of my max bets, and I'm about $5,000 down for the day. But I try to take it all in stride. :laugh:

the advantage, is that sometimes the dealer will payoff your double.

Double downs in a high count with the max bet out tears holes in my bankroll. Last week in one session the dealer even told me to stop doubling, you have lost every double-down you play. It was a really bad session.

My vote was for the doubling 11 and drawing an ace. Of all the choices listed, this is the one that's most likely to occur during a high count with a big bet. Since I doubled, now I've got 2x a "big bet" out there and am stuck with a stiff.
