What's the deal with the automatic shufflers?

I have left one colored deck over the other because the one was neutral in counts and the other high. So go ahead now and slam me for the last statement I deserve it.
I am in total agreement with you on this statement - You definitely DO deserve it!

I know this is not really the place for this thread but heck. The main purpose of the asms is to thwart shuffle trackers and to speed the game up. I actually had the same op when I first played against them then it all panned out. You play a game with good rules the asm shoes don't mean squat in regards to advantage. The shuffle tracker is the only one it should effect.
I have only visited ONE casino in the UK so far that uses an automatic shuffler, Every time a hand was played the dealer just put them straight back into the shuffle machine. No breaks, no discard pile. Rendered the game uncountable. These are the asms I have experience of.

The machines

Pierce, I don't think that you are experiencing asms they seem to be csms. I have seen a linear type model that looks like a closed shoe I haven't played against it because I shun machines. The asms if coupled with good pen. are very playable regardless if you can't track the shuffle. I'm not going to get into shuffle logistics and the machines.
