It's also not impossible for me to become an NBA professional basketball player. Unlikely (since i'm a 5'9 white guy who doesn't shoot a basketball well), but not impossible.

I'm going to go ahead and assume you're honest. Your story is outlandish, but not impossible. Anyways:

1. You're betting WAY to much. If you have a 20k bank, your max bet should be $200 or so.
2. Do you know basic strategy?
3. What counting system are you using?
4. Is your host comping you suites, and gourmet RFB (room, food, and beverage)?
