Having been here at this board from the start, although I didn't start posting right away I've seen many characters come and go. This board started in Mar 2005. There have been many helpful and interesting posters. Currently there are 3250 members, most have posted very little and others live here. The very first poster after Ken of course was Bookie, he only ever made one post. Then there is Zengrifter who has made over 10,000 posts.

We've had young posters who can't gamble yet like the Blackjack Kid, older guys like Ihate17, women like sandibeach62 and crossdressers like TinaSparx.

There have been regulars like Cass, Mikeaber, E-Town-Guy ,NewYorkBear and RJT(you should come back) who no longer post. There are current members who are the board regulars like, 21Forme, Aslan, AutoMonkey, BJBob, Brutus, Callipygian, Canceler, ChefJJ, glovesetc, Ihate17, InPlay, jack,jackson, Kasi, moo321, sagafrog, shadroch, Sonny, Zengrifter.

There have been team pros like Bojack, always love his intelligent posts. Math guys like Callipygian and KC who can figure out most problems. There is a game creator in Geoff Hall (Blackjack Switch). There has been a variety of blackjack authors who have posted here like Arnold Snyder, Barfarkel, Dravot21, Ken Smith, Eliot Jacobsen, ExhibitCAA, Katarina Walker, LVBear584 and of course Renzey who is very insightful and always helpful.

Then there are guys who always keep this place interesting. How about MAZ who doesn't post much but always knows how to put guys in there place at the right time. Or Creeping Panther for organizing the BJBash and bringing people together and always warning us about those dreaded 8 deck monsters.

There are posters who like to stir the pot like Crapsmaster, InPlay, and lhcm. Posters who rip people off like Cipher and guys who take a lot of heat for their posts like Flash1296. Then there are those crazy posters like Davidpom, licentia, silentbob and whatever happened to the guy who was screaming for blackjack info to save him as he was being dragged into the ocean by Atlantic City Security and don't forget PWN or captheathmalc.

What ever happened to good old ScottH and Supercoolmancool? Those guys were die hard regulars who were going to conquor the world of AP and they just decided to disappear.

I would like to give a thanks out to Qfit for the great software you produce at affordable prices. Your products have helped my game so much and your http://www.blackjackincolor.com website is filled with great info. Sonny for keeping this site running so smoothly and controlling the trolls and always answering everyones questions no matter how simple or difficult. Your patience, tolerance and knowledge always amazes me.

Can't forget our #1 poster Zengrifter, how boring this place would be without you. Keep them conspiracies coming and of course to Ken Smith the most important poster of all for bringing us this website. I've had the pleasure of meeting Ken in person and must say he is a classy gentleman all around. Your site has provided a learning experience for most of us here and my bankroll thanks you for the information I've acquired through your site and the many friendships I've made through blackjackinfo and I'm sure there are many others on this board who have been brought together through your site.

here is an interesting snippet of a prosaic post i found:

The BJ here 6d and dd hold some interesting potential,
all games are hand shuffled with the best shoe game rules of anyplace I know of. The Panther is an action junkie and gravitates toward the fast moving DD even with it's limited rule options.

The Panther began his slow, methodical.... prowl around 9pm searching for prey that could be pounced upon and then devoured. The Panther soon found a DD table showing GREAT potential even to the point that MS. Panther commented about it's attributes for a fine feast The dealer was a nice young lady, a lady that I decided would easily drop her defenses and allow me to crush here before she could react. The Predator Panther, although exhausted from little sleep and a long trek to the *** would now go into full stalking mode.

Panther takes a spot in the hunt, middle seat, 4 other players, he bids his time, studying the shuffle and the other players and the dealer, as well as the always lurking PC., creeping and stalking, bidding his time to move in for a kill!

Panther knows not to give his calling card but as the dealer comes back from a break he notices something has changed....the one great thing is now not so great and the Panther has done nothing, YET, to effect this wariness !! But Panther decides to be patient and settles in for a patient, very patient stalk.

It is now 11.20 and the hunt is now what the creeping Panther has been waiting for, the dealer, one other player and Panther. Now Panther readies for full attack mode, the hair bristles, the nostrils widen and flex, the eyes narrow and the Panther is transformed into a now deadly, zoned, and bloodthirsty BJ killing machine

Panther up to this point has bet no more than $10 on one spot down $150 at this point and looking at a rocket +, he now unsheathes his massive claws and pounces to 2 spots of $100 each, the prey looks shocked and eyes the panther with trepidation and appears ...dealer flashes a 10 up, Panther coolly eyes his 2-15's(!) no time to panic, surrender is offered and the deadly panther takes it, losing half his bets but not dismayed, the count goes even higher and Panther pushes out, again $100 on 2 spots, steely eyed and now cognizant of every change of his environment, senses heightened, pulls a BJ and a 20, the prey shows a 9 , but Panther knows that 5 aces have yet to show, the prey shows a 10 and has now been deeply gouged by the Panthers sharp claws. The other player seems disgusted that Panther had surrendered and leaves in a huff....good, just the now attacking ruthless Panther against the hapless prey, and the slipper ends.

The prey shuffles and then Panther stares into the preys eyes, a cold and calculating stare,..., that portends sure death for the prey, the prey shows anxiety, hesitation, as the game is now started, Panther and prey. Panther using multi index play and taking 2 spots is now whipping the prey, slowly and surely, pouncing here and there, then again the count skyrockets, Panther pushes 2-$100 bets, dealer shows an ace, panther calculates the situation with lightening speed and calls for insurance...prey is cautious and again confused, the bet is made and dealer flips a face, Panther growls in a low tone with *satisfaction* that his honed senses have once again saved the day. The count is still high and Panther goes for one quick kill, 2 spots of $200, salavation time, but also gut wrenching fear, prey shows a 7, Panther a 19 and a 17, Panther knows that prey will have a 10 in the hole but no!, another 7 shows and now....the face!!! The prey bleeds, cannot believe the situation, what a turn, what manner of beast is the prey facing,, no players card offered....who is this Panther that has turned on me??? She knows the Panther is here for a ***** Banquet, but that is all. The PC is now hovering, showing intense interest in protecting his territory, but he is outmatched and for now can do nothing.

Next round the stalking Panther goes to $100 on 2 spots and pulls a 12 and 15 ...prey shows an Ace, Panther with all his deadly cunning knows that this can be a good thing, insurance is taken, all are now watching, Panther moves back stealthily, and with lithe muscles quivering, knowing this could be a deadly turn of events...dealer again shows a 10!!!! Panther ROARS as he has saved himself through his cunning and skillz, PC now looks on in rapt attention, prey looks numb. Last hands of the slipper and Panther sees the cut card will soon be out and pushes out another $100 on each of 2 spots, knowing that a win here will have decimated the Prey, bleed it significantly, prey shows a face up, panther has 20 and 20, will the dealer also show a 20,? Panther thinks maybe so, but no a 5!!!! more than now the ten will come, of this Panther knows...Panther backs away from the felt, watching in deadly earnest, a 6 maybe....BAM another face, AHAAAA!! Sometimes, sometimes, but not all times, things work as they should, and then there are those other times...

It is now late into the night and the Panther knows when to take it's kill back to the lair and the safety it offers, and so the Panther leaves as stealthily as he first made his appearance. and disappears into the night.

Interesting, I was right about that dealer, within a month I was to cut a confidential Biz deal that would benefit us both, and it holds to this day. To be clear,,,, the dealer opened the door and I waltzed the dealer through it

As to not showing the players card, I found out later the PC knew full well of my reputation, no players card needed.

haha thanks for the nod kasi! wish i posted here as often as i used to. pretty sure though that i never contributed at the level of some of the other guys listed in this thread so far.

i must say i cant believe the original poster of this poll didnt include sonny, auto monkey, easy rhino, and ZG. practically 95% of questions asked on these boards are answered by one of those guys.

when in doubt or there seem to be confrontations, i must say every visitor to this site should follow the words/advice of sonny, auto monkey, easy rhino and qfit as they currently still actively post here. in the rare times i do come visit/post these days, when i see questions being answered by those guys i feel NO need to go in and give my own answer as i know they have taken care of the OPs with solid advice.

new/recently new guys should go back and search for posts by blackjack avenger, eye heart halves, ihate17, zengrifter, aslan, and those of the guys i named above. the posts always dispense pearls of wisdom that even a "knowledgeable" guy like me can use.

and let me just say without the posts of kasi, the wise frog, shadroch, bjcount, and jack jackson id probably not be back here posting much at all. somehow they seem to kick up some interesting conversation beyond the usual "should i count one or two cards at a time?" or the "does anyone have Hi Lo indices that i somehow couldnt google on my own?".

im sure im forgetting many others so i apologize, but thanks to all for the memories!
