You guys at FW, you!

At foxwoods there were several times I was doing pretty well in Sp21 and some asian people starting backbetting me because they saw that I was "lucky". Then, they got pissed when I was doing some of the non-obvious (but still correct) Sp21 B.S. and index plays. Since they are so much less obvious than in blackjack (such as when I hit a 14v5), I've found people at tables to get even more pissed, especially when they back-bet me. So then someone backbet me I just gave them a warning that "sometimes I play a little risky!" not for their benefit, but just so I don't have to hear them complain if I lose while making the correct play.

I strongly suspect that one of the main reasons that backlining got cut at FW was because the dealers and floor personnel couldn't handle it...

Foxwoods dealers only make between $4.50 - $5.50 an hour. I don't know if the recent union troubles have contributed to this decision. The MGM dealers just lost about $300.00 a week because they combined with Foxwoods.
25 % of MGM dealers have left in last couple months and many more will.
Where the hell are they going to go?
Easter CT and RI have essentially no open jobs outside of "do you want fries with that" type places.

Sorry but it is ALL over all the Bj boards -- I kept it cool till I saw all the other posts -- this will be the last -- good cards to all

No unemployment if you quit a job.
I think you mean unemployment compensation. Unemployment is more or less guaranteed.:whip:

I couldn't figure which one RightClawSouth was referring to.

MGM Dealers

It is a fact. MGM has lost 300 dealers since the union was forced on the dealers. Many have gone to Pa and Delaware. Some have left the industry. Dealer pay was in the $50,000 year range and they lost almost $15,000. year. A new class from their dealer school just started this week.

I was talking with an ex foxwoods dealer the other day. he gave me this reason for the removal of the rule:

There had been numerous situations in which players would get hostile during backlining situations. PCs and security were being overwhelmed with handling and cooling down situations of backliners getting abusive with the players, and outright extortion coming from players with a rich backliner. "gimme $500 right now, or else I'm hitting my hard 19." frankly, the ex dealer was happy to see the rule go.

Yeah, that can turn into a fight real fast

"Gimmie 500 bucks or I'll hit my 19"
"hit that 19 and I'll break your hand"

Really not a situation the dealers/pit want to deal with

There is a HUGE difference between APs and thugs/lowlifes. The only people that don't make the distinction between the two are casino personnel.

I'm sure you're not, but its something to think about.
