That is a good question. As tempting as it is, since you just lost a double...the immediate reaction is to unnecessarily double your initial bet to get it back...but dont ! Go back to $5 and be patient. very patient.

I had an absolutely horrible 1st round yesterday...and lost a thousand in the first round...without letting my emotions get in the way, I hung in there...and by the 3rd round I got back even again. (she won like 90% of the hands in the 1st round)

I've started doing a new thing recently..an additional safeguard in a way. After losing 3 straight hands, I play an additional hand just ONCE at minimum...to screw up the Dealer's hand...then go back to playing 1 hand again. This seems to help to prevent losing 10 hands in a row on my main hand.

Even with doing that, if you still reach 6, 7 , or 8 hands lost in a row...you might want to play an additional hand again...just ONCE with minimum bet, to attempt to screw up the Dealer's hand once again & prevent yourself from losing the almighty dreaded 10 hands in a row. Flip things around in your favor.

The safest & best strategy I feel is :

1,1,1,2,3,4,6,8,12,25

The 1,2,1 start is more risky.

your safest strategy would be to quit while you are ahead

i lost every hand of the 1st shoe a few weeks ago...tied one hand...and a dealer error/pity on another.

two "ties", 16 losses (i know cause i lost $800 @ $50 min table) so losing streaks can/do happen.

Increase your EV from negative up to zero by just staying out of the casinos. You can lose 10 hands in a row about once every 19 hours of play on average. I once went an entire shoe heads up without winning a single hand.

Uh, you can't screw up the dealers hand ahead of time unless you know precisely what the next round of cards is going to be...and even if you had such info switching to 2 hands still may not do the trick. "Plop plop, fizz fizz, oh what a ploppy he is".

I understand, why not to leave bloody unlucky shoe , if you lost 5-7 times in a row or even earlier?? And start playing another fresh shoe/

By the way, do ou play 6 or 8 decks? Or 2 decks? Does it matter for you?

Because after losing 7 straight hands, you'll be down $1800. Gotta hang in there and take the risk.

Like I said, you'll already be down $1800. Why start from scratch when its not needed ?

if you vary your bets and start winning regularly, many joints will shut you down. or make you flat bet.
alot of casino personnel are very superstitious and watchful for cheats. this is not a great position to be in. -my recommendation is not to waste your time and money.
I used to enjoy playing craps. you wouldnt believe how sweaty some places get when some bum has a lucky streak. they suddenly offer a nice buffet, a few drinks, or a hotel stay to try and change their luck. someone they would otherwise kick the hell out.

Has nothing to do with cheating though. I'm taking a risk everytime...I just happen to be successful 80 to 85% of the time.

I think he was making a joke. People who use progression systems are always welcome back with open arms...until their bankroll disappears. APs get backed off when they win too much money, but voodoo players get backed off when they are out of money.

Why to be rude?I understand , what Mike does ,cannot work on a long run form mathematics point of view, but what is he is just lucky and has a very long short run, so to speak? What if variance didnot hit him as some other members?

There were several cases recently when members wrote about their positive experiences beyond counting.

Remember, there is a member who claimed he won lots of money winning everyday 100 , playing 25 flat bet.

If someone is lucky or have a good variance, whatever, let him be.

After all,ever most proficient counters cannot win all the time.

I'm still waiting for an explanation as to how playing an additional hand is going to "screw up the dealer's hand" since you can't possibly know ahead of time what cards the dealer is going to get in either scenario. I'd also like to know the mathematics as to how such a lame progression could possibly work. If you're not doubling every loss you'll never get your money back unless you win an obscene amount of hands consecutively...and we all know a Blackjack player loses more hands than he wins.

Did you read his post? Someone is not stupid through winning money , but believing that playing an extra hands will mess up the dealer is. .....
