DD mid deck entry

Nope, you have to wait for the shuffle.
Mid deck entry only allowed on the 6-8 deck shoe games.

Ken, re: Grand BJ conditions?

I'm heading back to Biloxi this week. I will be there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I plan on going to the Grand, which opened recently. The Beau is supposed to reopen on Tuesday. Upon arrival, I may make the Beau my first stop and check out the festivities. These are the two latest casinos to open. I will make a new post on game conditions at both.
I have not been to Treasure Bay yet (since they reopened.) However, I have been communicating (by e-mail) with the Treasure Bay Casino host.:eyepatch: She informs me that they currently are only open for slot play. She also said their Grand Opening will be in late October or early November, at which time they plan to have 22 table games.

Anyone else going to try to attend the Beau's opening?

From reading the other threads on this Message Board (Forum), it appears Ken was at the Grand recently. Congrats again on a great win!:D

Ken, did you notice the BJ game conditions?

It will be interesting to hear how the BR has impact on the other casinos. I am planning on checking out the area after another casino opens Thursday.

I'm really slacking. I've been in both the Grand and the Beau, but I had limited time and was playing specific non-blackjack opportunities in both cases.

Sorry I'm not more help. I'll look forward to your conditions report.

Headlines should read....MURDER IN BILOXI!

Because every casino I went to (just about) KILLED me!!:whip:

My Biloxi trip from Hell, :flame: in a nutshell.
Tuesday, arrived at Beau just after the casino opened. Cashed in for $200 on a DD pitch game with all the good rules (including dealer stands on soft 17.) At one hour into play I had my last $40 out on bet and received a double down hand. Bought in for additional $100 to cover my double. LOST...but kept on playing. At about two hours into play I was down to my last $25 bet. I received a split hand (8,8). Bought in for additional $100 to cover my split. Received another eight for another split. Then came the three for a double down (caught a monkey for twenty-one on that one hand.) Other two hands got stiffs that I stood on waiting for the dealer to bust. DEALER GETS 21, LOST....two hands and pushed on 21! Play for a total of three hours. Lost $400. Got three free lunch buffets. Time to move on. Went to the Isle next. They have changed their BJ rules. The only good rules pitch game they had was is in the high limit room for $50 minimum. My BR cannot support that level of bet, so I played some $5 min craps....and lost $100. Now down $500 for the day. Figured I could do some damage control by playing $5 min BJ from an eight deck shoe. Played for about three hours and, you guessed it, LOST another $100. Down $600 for the first day. OUCH!
Wednesday, Went to the Grand for the first time since they reopened. No-good rules pitch games at the Grand except for the high limit room again ($50 minimum.) Played the craps game for $100. Played for about two hours and LOST. Got three free buffets again. Now am down $700 for the trip. Went to Boomtown. YAAHOOOO, they had a DD pitch game with the good rules for $25 minimum. Cashed in for $200. You know what is about to happen. Played for about 30 minutes and LOST. I was so pissed. Have to mention the play of one of the other players. He is on first base and is dealt a hard 17 (K,7). Dealer has a (bust) up card of six showing. The player doubles down (wtf is this all about.) The dealer is stunned and brings this to the first base players attention. The player insists, one card. So the dealer LOUDLY announces to the pit, doubling down on hard 17, and waits until a pit critter arrives to deal. THE DEALER PROCEEDS TO HIT THE PLAYER WITH A FOUR (FOR TWENTY-ONE). WTF!!!! The dealer then turns his hole card of ten and hits another ten to bust. I left! Down $900. I went to the no craps table. Bought in for another $100, played for about an hour and LOST. Down $1000. Got three free buffets again. At least I ate well this trip. HA- HA! Wednesday night I couldn't force myself to play anything, so I watched my wife play craps ($10 min) until two in the morn, and win $350.
Thursday, went to the $5 craps table at the Isle. LOST another $100. Down $1100. Then to top it off...... I locked the keys in the car trunk. This trip is now known as MY BILOXI TRIP FROM HELL!! Got the car opened and went to IP. Played craps for three hours. Won $300. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!!!!!!!!! Again I got three free buffets. Ate before we left.

I sure was glad to get home.

Rules not getting any better

The other casino's were less crowded. I expected the games to get better with more competition. This has not happened yet. Most of them got worse. I discussed this with pit critters and dealers. They all did not like the rule changes. I also submitted comment cards reflecting my dislike for the new changes. Maybe it will help!

Most of them are eight deck. They are pretty good. BJ pays 3:2, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split allowed, double any two, off hours minimum $5. Any other rules you are curious about? What did I leave out?

When might you be going?

I may be returning again in a week or so.

Condition of the BJ tables in Biloxi

KenSmith said:
I'll look forward to your conditions report.

The Isle changed the DD pitch game. The new rule change is you cannot double down on any two cards. You can only double down on ten and eleven. They dropped the minimum bet from $25 to $15. The only good pitch game with the old rules was in the high limit room with minimum bet of $50. During off hours and early in the morning you could ask the high limit room pit critter, and he would drop the table min to $25. This was when there was no one else there! The SD game was the same rules (6:5) as they used to be. They dropped the minimum on this game to $10 during off hours. All the eight deck rules and min stayed the same.

Beau had all their tables open. They had good rules DD pitch (about 4 or 5 tables) with $25 min. They had plenty of $10 tables with eight decks.

Grand had plenty of $5 and $10 eight deck games with good rules. Only one table with DD pitch. The DD was $50 or $100 min (can't remember which one) in the high limit room.

Boomtown had one good rules DD pitch game with $25 min. Plenty of eight deck for $5 and $10.

IP had only one SD with 6:5, $25 min. One DD with good rules for $25 min. Plenty of $5 and $10 with eight deck. More pitch games were available in the high limit room.

Treasure Bay still has no table games. Only slots.

I am not able to report on the Palace at this time. Didn't have time to play there.

If Anyone has questions about "good rules" as I call them, just ask and I'll re-post!

Back from Biloxi.....again!

Back from Biloxi again. This trip was not quite the nightmare the last trip was. I supplemented my bankroll before this trip because of the big loss from the last trip. During this trip I won approximately $400. After adding the supplement, and the wins from this trip, my BR is back to within a hundred dollars of where I was three or four trips (weeks) ago. :D
Played double deck pitch at Beau and won about $500 in a two or three-hour session. Buy in was only $300 this time. Did not have to re-buy in this time. I had two sessions on the craps tables while I was there. Each session buy in was $200. Played for several hours combined. Lost about $100 for the two craps sessions. Once again got comp buffets. They had single deck pitch game with a $10 min, BJ payed 6:5 (didn't play.) There were about four or five double deck pitch games with $25 min, dealer stands on 17, double after split allowed, re-splitting A allowed, etc... After midday (afternoon) they opened additional double deck tables. They had a total of about ten double deck pitch games going at one time.
Went to the Grand and played craps. They did not have a pitch game for less than $100 min. They had a lot of CSM with $5, $10 and $15. I did not even check the game rules or conditions (sorry.) I refuse to play CSM! There were some eight deck shoe games, but I never got to them. I still prefer the pitch games!
Played at Isle. Isle has changed their pitch game as I mentioned in an earlier post. The double deck pitch game had the min dropped to $15 (during off hours), but you could only double on ten and eleven. The single deck game remains the same (BJ pays 6:5). I avoided these games as I feel they are unfavorable to the player. Anyway, the pitch game in the high limit room has all the good rules, and upon request, the pit critters will drop the min to $25. Got in a few hours one morning and one afternoon. Have to mention at this point my wife had a session on the three card poker table that was unbelievable. She cashed in for $100 and cashed out for $1050. She won almost every hand. She had 3 straight flushes, 3 three of kinds, about 5 or 6 straights and countless flushes and pairs. One other player quit betting his hand and started betting her hand with her. He won several (2 or 3) thousand dollars on her hands. He tipped her $50. I told her she got gypped and should have started charging a commission. :cool2:
Also played at the IP several times (once each day). IP has a lot of $5 and $10 min (eight deck) shoe games with good rules. They had a single deck pitch game which payed BJ at 6:5. They also had the usual one or two tables of double deck pitch for $25 min. The high limit room has good pitch games also, but for $50 and $100 min. I was able to play several sessions of craps and double deck pitch. Came out ahead.
This trip was much better. At least I didn't lock the keys in the car! :joker:
Comps this trip included our rooms for a three day stay, A fantastic dinner at Faradays, all our meals (three buffets) and three trips to the snack and beverage bars. Only expense this trip was gas!

I don't think there is any surrender available in Biloxi. If there is, I haven't seen it yet.

Has anybody else noticed?

Nice to See Biloxi treated you well this time. I just got back from Treasure Chest I actually got some heat their, which really surprised me since it was 6d and I wasn't betting a lot. Since last time I played at TC they changed to S17 games.

Treasure Chest?

avs21 said:
Harrah's New Orleans when I left in end of April had good conditions 6D 80% pen, s17, das, da2. You can find 10$ tables in the day on a weekday and at night 15$. If you go down there don't bother with going to Treasure chest.
Why did you return? did they have something special to offer, or are they just convenient to you?

Where is this "Treasure Chest" located? Doesn't sound too friendly.

Sorry to hear about the "heat". What do you think brought it on? What kind of heat did you receive?

I have CBJN and New Orleans Harrah's games have gone downhill since April. They have 8 deck shoes now except for the high limit area that has 6D.

I went to Treasure Chest because rules changed and according to CBJN they had all 5$ 6D S17 DAS tables. They actually only had one 5$ table and I went on late Sunday night, which isn't peak hours. Treasure Chest is in Kenner it's a suburb of NO. Its only like 20mins away so it's pretty convient. I waited 30mins before I got a chance to play all decks really negative. When spot opened up I just sat down to make sure I reserved the seat, but waited for the next shuffle since the count was negative in the double digits. Concering why a little bit of heat. I wasn't talkative as usual and didn't have a drink. I have to be more cautious than other places because I plan on playing here a lot until Biloxi/Gulfport start to have better games. I would recommend playing at this place if you don't mind playing 6d games.
