My experience has been that many dealers are so used to busting players' hands that they come to assume you're going to bust every time you hit a stiff, especially a 14, 15, or 16. This week I had a dealer who was young and fast, but continuously made a move to pick up busted hands prematurely, because the hands didn't really bust.
