They never meant to offer early surrender. But the CCC insisted that the dealer not take a hole card in order to better prevent any kind of cheating or collusion with players. And so, they couldn't figure out how to do that and to offer regular (late) surrender. Of course, that IS possible. So, players got the tremendous extra advantage of early surrender, which gave the BS player an edge off the top!paymypush said:Did you play those early surrender tables back then? It was thought by some people that it was a mistake by the casino to offer early surrender. The thinking was that they wanted to offer surrender and didn't research the difference between early and late. It was soon gotten rid of and I'm pretty sure it was the CCC that nixed it.
