So, I've been going crazy trying to figure out this promo. I have conflicting information?
I called a separate TR kiosk and spoke with a very nice representative who had received an e-mail from their marketing manager earlier today. She said that it didn't appear you had to opt in or swipe at a kiosk - only visit the number of unique destinations and the TR system will automatically keep track. However, she mentioned to go to the TR kiosk at the casino to make sure you are "opted in" if that really is the case. She honestly didn't know whether there was an "opt in" or swipe requirement other than earning the 1 base credit.
Online rules are even more confusing. Some Caesar's property sites have conflicting information. One site says
"Here's your chance to rack up bonus Reward Credits. Another says:
"The Great Race to Rewards
Earn 60,000 Reward Credits®.
This Summer, the race is on! Earn up to 60,000 Reward Credits exploring the Total Rewards® casinos around the country!
Visit 3 destinations and receive 15,000 Reward Credits.
Receive another 15,000 Reward Credits for each additional destination you visit.
Plus, receive an additional 500 Bonus Reward Credits when you spend a total of $50 at three participating shops, restaurants or hotels within one week.
There’s potential to earn at one destination or across several destinations - the choice is yours.
There are TWO ways to opt-in for this promotion:
Swipe your Total Rewards card at any designated promotional kiosk
OR
Enter on-line at www.TotalRewards.com"
Going to totalrewards.com does not present you with any options to "opt-in" for the promotion. You are only given the chance to enter your information for their drawing - including your TR number. I don't know if this is what actually does the "opt-in"?
I suppose to clear up any confusion, everyone can visit their local store and talk to a TR representative and make sure their TR account is "opted-in" for this promo. If so, you only have to opt in once. If that is the case, the TR system will look at your account to see where your base credits were earned. I was told that if you "opt-in" after playing at a casino, your base credits will still count - however, I have been unable to verify this.
I'm thinking of calling Caesar's tomorrow during business hours....
