THANX a bunch Don for clarifying remaining cards advantage. HAHA, I am not as dumb as I look. Dont you just hate these wieners, try to participate in class, and all asking dumb questions? lolDSchles said:Again, you split 31 times, not 32. You make 32 hands. Do you understand the nuance? If you're referring to the Floating Advantage, it states that, deeper in the shoe, the same true count confers more advantage than it did earlier. So, as you would play the many splits, your edge for each hand may, in fact, be increasing.
As for this statement, "I am not even talking about the huge increase in true count; instead of divided by 2 now divided by 0.5," it probably isn't true. As cards are dealt, and aces continue to come out, your running count is probably decreasing. And while this may be offset by the decreasing denominator, there is no tendency for the TC to change as cards are being dealt. On average, the TC remains the same.

Sorry Raven, many have been misled, thought my 39-year old statements were made recently. you are not the only one. Thank you for sharing your opinion.Raven said:Okay I just reps0nded to a 39 year old thread. I'm going to sleep.
Why are we discussing splitting 31 times?? UggSo_what_MD said:THANX a bunch Don for clarifying remaining cards advantage. HAHA, I am not as dumb as I look. Dont you just hate these wieners, try to participate in class, and all asking dumb questions? lol
my love/hate with european rule - even at 0.4 kelly, starting 3 squares, after 32 splits of one square, I am looking at dble digit of my BR in my hand. not probably but certainly possible it happens twice back to back. wow, 30% BR gone or GAIN, hence love or hate. How do you propose to smoothen out the shock, Don?
TC - say I start splitting with (O2) running 24 with balanced Ace, 2 decks left, hence TC 12; usually my faces are neutralized by 456's. My ace neutral, 2379 would take me down, say, end up with running 16. but now I have 0.5 deck left only, hence TC 32, up from 12, that is 4.5 more edge my way. or am I hallucinating here?
Because I did that once and 27 split once. European rule unlimited split.Counting_Is_Fun said:Why are we discussing splitting 31 times?? Ugg
No you didn't. And even if you did, you never will again.So_what_MD said:Because I did that once and 27 split once. European rule unlimited split.
CIF: You must be in law enforcement. Trained to DISTRUST? I just told you something and you said I didn’t do it. Keep work at work. Don’t bring it home. 80% divorce rate in law enforcement work.Counting_Is_Fun said:No you didn't. And even if you did, you never will again.
Because you are crazy and nobody here is believing anything you say in this entire thread. Where do you think you are?So_what_MD said:CIF: You must be in law enforcement. Trained to DISTRUST? The 32 split was about 15 years ago. It was talk of the town. You come here anybody will tell you.
It was a New dealer, sup has to help him to reorganize table many times to keep cards and bet clear. After a while, he didn’t know if he was dealing or the sup was dealing. Then came the $64,000 moment, It was 6 .... face .... and .... face. He looked at supervisor - WHAT DO I DO NOW??? Sup laughed and said “YOU PAY!!!” That was one of the highlights of my life. I was only playing with a 15000 bankroll with One Kelly Utility Function. I was playing 200 x 3. Ended up having almost half of my bankroll on the table. Good that I won, and also won the 27 split. But we both know it could swing the other way easily. That’s why I asked Don what to do. At 15,000 I had no problem to keep topping up BR. With my new BR structure, different ball game.
Why do you say I won’t do it again? Betting strategy is separate from playing strategy. If the count is there, I am doing it.
As usual, I cannot make much sense out of your post here either. So I will pass on that nonsense.So_what_MD said:CIF: I give up. Why are you so hostile? Is it illegal to split faces in America?
I use omega 2 with side count of aces. I was badly addicted to roulette. I used to play $30,000 a night. European rule, single zero. I lost a quarter mil within a year. I could afford the money somewhat, but I was so beat up by the game that I no longer had any desire to work or live. I called my buddy Walter, GM at casino holland. He told me to learn to count cards. Hopefully, if I spend all night to make $300 I wouldn't throw it all on roulette in one spin. That was 1997. My undergrad was math/economics. I tried to develop my own system. Someone gave me a book. I learned easily. MY purpose of blackjack was to stop roulette. Since 1998, I never played roulette again, and I never lost a year in blackjack. No, that was a lie, I got hurt real bad after christmas couple years back. That year I posted a loss.
Back to splitting - TC 8 or better I split faces against 6. If TC is up to 15, I can expect to split for a while. Why do you say I wouldn't do it? I am in Canada. There is no heat here. Especially in my casino, I was VIP on our opening night. They treat me good here. They do NOT 86 me or anybody for counting.
Why isn't the whole world playing here and getting rich? 60/40 cut off on 6 deck; No surrender; but in exchange, no heat, unlimited split, dealer stays on soft 17.
I have not lied. I have not said one thing to antagonize you. Why are you so rude to me?
I belong to a hifi forum. I talk the same way there. Everybody is respectable and polite. We trade notes on speakers over 6-digit, $6000 dac; $10,000 CD player, interconnect over $1000, I suppose you gonna say we all LIE too? lol
