it is not the right time certainly, many cc were barred in Korea recently.Moneyboy said:I went to play BJ at Walker Hill a month ago, first time playing in Korea. I did not have enough time to play at other casinos. The night I played, they were cutting 1.5-2 decks off the 8 deck shoe. I noticed they were cutting around 2.5 decks, the next morning when I was playing a 8 deck shoe game when I sat down with 2 players who was losing and one was probably a regular. When he left, the penetration improved to around 1-1.5 deck cut. I am not sure if he was a CC'er or just a losing regular as he left before I noticed any change in the count, to me he looked like he was just steaming. Does Walker Hill or other Korean casinos change penetration based on known regulars or bet spreads? What other forms of heat/harrasment do they use? Should I get a players card and how good are Korean casinos when it comes to comps or players card points for BJ play? I understand food/bevarage is free if I order at the tables. Any difference with plays of other players or enviroment compare to the US? Do the dealers expect you to tip or make a bet for them? I do not understand any Korean language. I am planning to make another trip to Korea in next month and I plan to try other casinos. I also will be going to Asia often this year and I plan to make frequent visits to Korea if it is worth my time. Also what is the best time to play in a Korean casino or best casino to play with a few players as possible or by myself?
where did u get the TC 28, 6d or 8d?San said:I've been counting cards in Seoul for a while. Lately, I had encountered TC over 28 in one of the casinos. Over 28, can you believe it? It was the end of shoe and less than one deck left. The running count was 28.
I understand it doesn't mean anything for just one shoe. But I had also encountered many shoes ended at RC over 15, less than one deck left. I also counted 4s, 5s and Aces but I didn't find anything unusual. Anyway, I just want to let you know that if you count cards in Seoul, just be careful. Maybe there's a reason why t
he casinos don't care about people counting cards.

bring either currenecy is fine.Moneyboy said:In a Korean casino, how do currency exchanges work if I bring in USD or Japanese YEN? When I cashed out, they demanded to show receipt of exchange. How are the exchange rates? Is it true the reconversion is free and the winnings are free of exchange rate fees up to a certain amount? Is it better to take won and convert them at a bank instead? What is the best way to cash in and out of Korean casinos?
Yes, it is prohibited at both 7 Luck casinos. The heat is not so fierce at Walkerhill. But I have never seen any counter there.chichow said:Is it at both 7 Luck properties?
What about Walker?
Actually, the heat at Walker Hill has been much more fierce than 7Luck. I believe many of the regulars at Coex were banned long time ago at Walker Hill, even before 7luck was started. Be careful and don't spread more than 1-15 at Walker Hill.halibut said:Yes, it is prohibited at both 7 Luck casinos. The heat is not so fierce at Walkerhill. But I have never seen any counter there.
It is strange to me because I expected to see some of the former regulars at COEX. There must be some reason why they don't play at Walker.
That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the information.San said:Actually, the heat at Walker Hill has been much more fierce than 7Luck. The truth is right after 7luck sweep out CC, some of them flood to Walkerhill already. These new faces (no matter Japanese or Chinese) are immediately barred by Walkerhill in just one day. Obviously they know what's going on with their counterparty.halibut said:Yes, it is prohibited at both 7 Luck casinos. The heat is not so fierce at Walkerhill. what is your spread?chichow said:I didn't notice much heat recently at 7 Luck Coex. Then again, I wasn't spreading large. And the Japanese were out in force holding court over entire tables with 150 - 200k USD in chips during the weekends.
For my single data point playing with some other players there was no problem betting on another player's circle. There was some variation in dealer sensitivity. Some dealers allowed you to place the bet on top of another player's circle. Others followed proper procedure and required the other player to take your bet and place it on their hand.
I have not been to Walker for a while (sooooooooo far on E. Seoul) that I can't comment on heat or play there.
Wow, it reminds me of Order 66. Obviously, Seoul is not CC's paradise any more.MacauData said:The truth is right after 7luck sweep out CC, some of them flood to Walkerhill already. Flipping cards was discussed in the posts #9-15 of this thread. At Walkerhill, they show the unplayed cards at the end of a shoe. Not sure if they show the cards up when changing decks.chichow said:I did see at least twice at 7luck coex where they changed decks and as part of their procedure they fanned the card face up. I don't recall exactly where or whT people where saying that they didn't fan the cards up. Maybe that was walker hill
still shoes but very heat.revelation0928 said:I left Seoul about 3 months ago,bj in 7 luck still dealt by hands, now I heard that it seems becoming CSM ? Anyone can confirm that?Anyway, from what I remember,7 luck COEX is the best place to CC,not 7 luck Hilton(it's 7 box and very crowded).
As Walkerhill,it's still dealt by hands,But very serious Heat, haha.
