and yeah making friends with a whale is a positive ev tactic. the pit is gonna think twice before 86'ing the friend of a whale.
getting 86'd in a good joint is a real negative ev move. keeping your welcome in a good joint makes for continued positive ev.

Let me see if I get this straight - you get more EV from a degenerate high roller than from a person who can decide your fate in whether you can play in their store or not. Makes perfect sense - in a Monkey sort of way.

Well... yes. I have never gotten any playing EV from a pit boss. And if he figures out I'm a skilled AP he is going to throw me out whether he likes me or not. If he believes I'm a gambler he's not going to throw me out whether he dislikes me or not. You can pin your hopes on the pit boss liking you (which seems quite unlikely anyway given your personality), I'll take my chances with the "degenerates" letting me double and split with them.

Sure there is - An extremely talented AP would have overbet until a loss - then pointed out the error.

Were I to get involved in such a situation,thats what I would have done.
I would have marked the time,and demanded that the Gaming Commision get involved.Theres a huge difference between exerting your rights and getting into a verbal confrontation straight out of junior high school.

really? i thought the cursing was an error understood unless it was part of a greater plan which i don't think it was. i'll concede the point, however i believe befriending a whale balanced things out for Automonk in more ways than one.

I've never listened to a word he's said.
On the other hand,I've learned quite a bit by reading what he writes.

Most authors suggest that you do not correct mistakes/cheating that hurt other players and even not to say anything if a dealer is cheating you. But instead to just leave.
