Sorry to report that you guys need to reset my total to when I was manually playing each hand. My automated algorithm is sometimes misplaying dealer - busting too much. I'll generate some all new data when I get the chance. Calculated values were OK but actual +/- results were skewed.

Is Ghostrider really Qfit? Lol I have a theory that Stalkoid is a shape shifter. That would explain a lot. Then again, maybe not.

In terms of America, do you mean "made more money than the average in his life?" If you're a good man--help someone in need occasionally, stand by your friends, are kind to animals, bite your tongue to avoid an argument, give up your seat to someone who needs it more than you--I think you have accomplished something in life. ;)

Money, fame, brains--all false measures of worth. Virtue, character, courage--accessible to all, and more noteworthy--except maybe in America. Lol

Did you see the movie The Mobsters? The Jew, not Myer Lansky, but the one the young criminals worked for at first--well, he asks Lucky Luciano if he knew what was the secret of America. Lucky didn't know. The answer--MONEY! After that lesson, Lucky always went in style, best clothes, cars, clubs, women. <---Just a little trivia.

I'm afraid so. Don't wanna cook the books. Gotta redo the data. Besides compiling actual results, the other methodology is basically good, though.

k_c i think i'm getting confused (as usual).
with your program (leme call it upgrade) are you actually playing the hands and then you have the data collection automated?
or is your program auto playing the hands and collecting the data?

Hello Everyone,

I attached the graph of my latest results.

I'm now only up 2537.50 after losing 775 in the 187 hands I played since I last reported.

so my new totals: +2537.50 and hands 322

regards,

Gatherer

The auto process is:
1. record composition
2. compute pre-deal bs EV
3. deal and play according to basic strategy and record result
4. remove cards played and repeat
5. reshuffle after 80% pen and start a new shoe

1 and 2 are fine. 3 is skewed because dealer busts too much because my stupid algorithm didn't differentiate correctly between hard and soft totals, so dealer could bust a soft 12-16. That would be a great game if you could get it! No wonder I was doing so well.:laugh:

Everything else in the spreadsheet comes from the above. Basically the actual results are compared with the average calculated values. The pre-deal EVs (used in computing average EVs) are OK except that in some cases they would be a little different because sometimes dealer isn't being dealt as many cards as he should. Probably in the long the average EVs won't be affected much by misplaying dealer, but actual results sure will!

So far I've run 3 new shoes with the repaired algorithm.
Flat bet: -7.5 units
Hi-Lo: -76 units
UKO: -52 units
TKO: -105 units
I'm running 7 mores shoes right now, so I'll have 10 soon.

I'm still outputting to a text file. Once the file is generated it only takes 5 minutes to update the spreadsheet. I'm using a method from Theory of Blackjack to compute risk of ruin. I'm not that good in statistics and am just taking Peter Griffin's word that I'm getting a reasonable estimate.

Okay Ill add this, to your current status. Or perhaps, youll have it all
integrated in, as one total, on your next update.

Wow there really is a first time for everything.

1. Aslan finally had a losing session.
2. Kc finally cracks a smile.

Im callin a team meeting on friday, in reference, to a whole new fresh start.

I think whats happened is Me you and Canceller all had software problems. Well, actually my computer crashed, so my results were lost. Canceller accidentally read a book about a submarine. Plus gathererer, is new and just getting started

Captain Kasi abandoned ship. (think i might relieve him of duty, and take control of this vessel. Hopefully I wont be charged with mutiny:joker:)

Plus I think a fresh start would revive everyone. I might set up a voting pole and see what the consensus thinks.

I was using the software at this address (http://www.card-counting-blackjack.com/Game.aspx) when the following glitch appeared:

The dealer had 8/3

I had A/A

I split the aces and received two tens

The program awarded me wins on both hands even though the dealer never drew.

I'm guessing that a glitch in the program thought I had two blackjacks.

BTW, I didn't adjust my score. I suppose in reality I should have subtracted $100 from my score. Also, I don't know whether it paid me 3/2 or 1/1. I guess you could chalk it up to its real life counterpart of dealer error, although I suspect this particular dealer will always make the same mistake. Lol

For that, do we need to be a member of the Warriors Group (which I found out about only by accident)?

I could use some reviving. Seems like a couple of weeks since I played any WW hands. I played until I got above EV, and then kind of lost interest.

Yeah me too I guess. Except results were so terrible I couldn't play again. You'd think it was my real money

I'll dig them out tomorrow - along with playing more.
