You Guinness fans ought to try Jameson. But my favorite is Macallan. It's not Irish, but it will cure whatever ails you. You have my word on it.

I used to love an Irish whiskey named Celtic Cross, but I think it went under.
Had a damn fine one called Connamora Cask Reserve on 3-17. Real special stuff that isn't sold to just anyone.

Oh, I've had Guinness and Jameson at the same time. Ever try an Irish carbomb?

No Scotch drinkers here. I think the title of my book will be, "Card Counters Don't Drink Scotch."

good games

Sorry I'm a little late reading and with my reply looks like the thread was hi-jacked into another theme but.... . The reasoning behind keeping the lower limit games is baiting. If the old man don't play slots and he can't afford to play the higher limits tables he leaves and geuss who he takes with him. Women account for most of the slot action and they are with hubbies. Casino exces have learned this the hard way and as a result when the table mins go up and crappy rules the slot action falls off proportionatly. blackchipjim

more on bait

I don't mean to sound like a know it all either but Mr. shadroch the same kinda goes for most businesses. In my area bars come and go all the time Hooters opened and closed within two years but the shamrock pub is still opened and has been in business for 20 plus years. The pull them in by buck a slice pizza, buck a hot dog, peanuts on the bar free, big breasted barmaids but not too revealing so you get my point. Gimmicks are just that but most people look for true value and the owner who recognizes that is in the business for the long haul. Most businesses could learn a little from this site by realizing that " We make not make it all at once but, in the long run we come out ahead". blackchipjim

Oh that....I thought of that one morning, when I woke up face-down on the pavement, laying in vomit, after a long nite out.

It had been a rough and very unlucky day. I got beat-up pretty bad, because my Car-horn accidentally got stuck as I was following a group of Hells-Angels down the highway.:eyepatch:

I don't much drink but when I DO drink, it's either scotch or whiskey. Up.

I think I read recently that Harrahs is not doing so well.
"That's because we have too many card counters coming in, cheating, and stealing our money."

Harrahs is known for bad rules.
"Our rules are the most fair, best blackjack rules in all the gaming industry. Our rules will be even better and more fair when we convert to 1-1 payoffs for blackjack, and deploy the 'Model 342 Harrah's CSM' which removes all 10s from the 12 decks we use on our blackjack tables, except in circumstances where the dealer has a hand totalling 11. This makes an improved game with more pleasure for the players."

Happy Gaming!

Sorry, I'm not getting this. Is Doofus saying he is Gary Loveman, CEO of Harrah's, or is he just making a joke? You seem to be taking him seriously. Am I missing something?

Perhaps we're talking about different things. I'm saying this is almost certainly sarcasm:

I'm not sure who is representing themselves as who, however...

It's a well known fact that Gary Loveman loves internet message boards, he just uses the pseudonum "aslan" so he won't rile up the shareholders.
