I enjoy your blackjack game. It helps me control the urge between trips to the casino.
I really appreciate the Android app. I asked several months ago when an app for my Samsung tablet would be available. You promised it was in the works. Thanks for following through.

I think I need to show recent comments on the home page to try to pull things together a bit and let users see what is being discussed. I’m just trying to figure out the best place to put it. Thanks!
Hi there,
I am very very new player…as I am interested in the game and learning basic, do some research. I wonder if there are many casino use the shoe to shuffle card or the continuous machine? How about in Canada?
There are still plenty of non-CSM games in the US. Even in casinos where some of the tables use a continuous shuffler, you will often find other tables that are either hand-shuffled, or use an automatic shuffle machine but with a normal discard tray. I don’t have recent information on Canadian casinos, but I suspect the same is true there.
Can you please explain why when I have 12, I should stand if the dealer has 4-5 o/w hit? OR I have 13-16, I should stand when the dealer has 2-6, o/w hit?
I think it’s better to remember the strategy if I understand it
Remerciements
When the dealer has a 2 through 6 up, they must draw another card (except A6 depending on the table rules). As a result, the dealer busts more often with those upcards. This is why standing on player totals of 12-16 is the best play against the small dealer upcards. As for 12v2 and 12v3, those are just exceptions you have to remember. Because the dealer busts less often with 2 and 3 up, and you have a lower chance of busting than with player totals of 13-16, the math just swings the decision in those cases so that hitting is better than standing. That’s with 12v2 and 12v3 only.
Possible? Yes, but very unlikely. Fortunately, most games still spread the decks and examine them when they open the table. Get there and watch yourself to make sure the cards are as they should be. If they don’t spread the cards when opening new decks, you have a right to be suspicious.
thanks a lot man! you have been quite helpful. One last question: Is it possible that the casino, to increase their profit rate, put just a bit more small cards in the shoe so as to increase their edge?
I was surprised by the BlackjackInColor information saying that true +1 adds 0.79%, but after some thought it makes sense. In most games, that’s no big deal since the starting house edge is usually much closer to half a percent.
However, you can’t assume that a true count of 1/6 will deliver 1/6 of that 0.79%, because as that same chart shows, the effect is non-linear.
The only reliable way to know is to sim it. (I recommend CVData, although I no longer keep it in inventory at my site. Here’s a link to it at the publisher’s site.)
If your starting house edge of only 0.09% is accurate, it won’t take much to tip the scales.
I can’t imagine the game is going to yield much of an hourly return, even with a pretty large bet spread.
I was thinking that “-0.09%,even a running count of 1 at the beginning, which is a true count of 1/6 can easily turn the table, since a true count of 1 will give you an advantage of at least 0.8%(according to blackjackincolor) ,that means 1/6 can give you an edge of 0.13%” Is that mathematically right?

I misunderstood the app link – I thought it was you. I retract all my kudos and return to waiting mode.
Retraction accepted. 🙂
Now that the new site work is complete, the new trainer is my next big project. I’m doing research for it now.
No entries since mine of 1/19/15! Did I kill the blog?

Can I still use counting card strategy recently? As there are many casinos use the continuous shuffler machine

Anyone in Tucson, AZ?
trying to use the BJ strategy trainer. cant bring the game into full view. ????????????
I totally agree about the casino’s black jack house rules 6:5 cast out.

Sure, Vegas still has lots of non-CSM games, as do most areas of the US.

Il n'y a pas de solution facile. Essayez simplement de les ignorer autant que possible. Nous vous souhaitons bonne chance.
How about Vegas? Are most of the casino using CSM now? Is it possible to count cards there?
