It says they give their players 1099's. Would you accept a 1099 from a blackjack team? Tricky stuff. I think I'd rather take my chances without the IRS being alerted to what's up.

In my consulting business, sometime places insist on giving me a 1099. I have no problem accepting them if the club chooses to not take advantage of my cash discounts.
A business like strategic investments would get crucified by the IRS if they didn't track their employees.

To "not accept" a 1099 on professional services is not an option.
But you could in turn file an OID 1099 to the Treasury to zero-out the return. zg
